Flat through 2024, a dip in the week the new site went live, then a step up from mid March 2025 that held.
M3M’s old site ran on pages like /about-us.php and /projects/ifc. The new site moved every page to a new address, from /our-story to /retail/m3m-ifc. When all the URLs change at once, Google has to find, check and re-rank each page again, and traffic usually drops for a while.
It did. The first week of March was the low point: 2,764 visits from Google, down from about 3,400 a week before the switch.
We treated the relaunch as a migration, not a redesign. First, get Google to trust the new URLs quickly. Then use the cleaner structure to show up for searches the old site never ranked for, like “new projects in gurgaon”.
A redirect map from every old .php URL to its new page, a fresh XML sitemap, and daily index checks in Search Console through March.
Merged the www and non-www versions in July 2025, so Google stopped splitting links and rankings between two copies of the site.
Titles, headings and copy on the project pages and the Gurugram listing pages, built around project names, sectors and searches like “new launch” and “3 BHK”.
GA4 events for enquiry forms, contact clicks and project filters, live from June 2025, so the monthly report showed leads and not just visits.
